Sir John Hansen Chairman
Sir John Hansen graduated with a Bachelor of Laws in 1968 from
the University of Otago and, in 1995, was appointed as a High Court
Judge, continuing to serve in this position until his retirement in
April 2008.
Prior to his appointment as a High Court Judge, he acted as a
Master of the High Court and held a number of judicial roles in
Hong Kong, including a Magistrate, Coroner, Family Court Judge,
District Court Judge, and Master of the Supreme Court. He continues
as a judge of the Courts of Appeal in the Solomon Islands and
Western Samoa.
In 2008, Sir John was made a Distinguished Companion of the New
Zealand Order of Merit. In 2009 he was reinvested as a KNZM. An
avid cricket enthusiast, Sir John is president of the Willows
Cricket Club in Christchurch and sits on the NZC board.
His other appointments include Chairman of both the Canterbury
Clinical and Medical Network and the Red Cross Canterbury
Earthquake Appeal Commission and Convenor of the CERA Independent
Panel. He is involved in disciplinary matters for the IRB, the
NZRFU and the racing industry.
Mr Peter Stubbs Deputy Chairman
A partner in Simpson Grierson, heading the firms Sales and
Marketing Law group, Peter Stubbs has spent over 20 years advising
on the legal aspects of events and venues.
Peter is one of New Zealand's leading sales and marketing law
experts, including all areas of events, venues, sponsorship,
advertising, and sales promotions. Peter combines that experience
with Board roles in events, venues, and tourism organisations. He
was a founding member of the New Zealand Events and Sponsorship
Association and acts for event organisers such as Netball New
Zealand, the ANZ netball Championship organisation and New Zealand
Rugby League.
Mr Peter Brown
Peter Brown is General Manager - Commercial for Port Otago
Limited and has many years' experience in international marketing
and business development. Peter is Chairman of the Fortune Theatre,
and a Trustee for the Dunedin Indoor Stadium Venues Trust.
Previously, he has held the positions of General Manager of
Strategy & Development at Dunedin City Council, and Lecturer in
Marketing at the University of Otago.
Miss Jen Rolfe
Jen Rolfe is an experienced senior executive having worked with
many of New Zealand's top companies and brands. Jen was the general
manager of Saatchi & Saatchi New Zealand, and previously acted
on the board of the New Zealand Marketing Association. She is
currently the Director of Rolfe Limited, as well as a Director of
Daffodil Enterprises Ltd and New Zealand Rugby League.
Mr Peter Hutchison
Peter Hutchison has many years experience in business and is a
fellow of the NZ Institute of Management.
As well as his role as Managing Director of Fund Managers Otago
Ltd, Peter is a fully accredited director and member of the
Institute of Directors. Along with his position on the Dunedin
Venues Board, Peter has a number of other directorships. Peter is
committed to community service and his chosen charity is the Cancer
Society of New Zealand where he holds the position of National
board member; Chairman of Daffodil Enterprises Ltd [the society's
commercial trading arm]; member of the National Finance Advisory
Committee and Chairman of the Otago/Southland Division of Cancer
Society of New Zealand.
