Dunedin Centre Facilities
The Dunedin Centre and Town Hall is one of New Zealand's largest
and most versatile and interesting conference venues, able to cater
to small groups of 10 or up to 2300 people.
The complex is perfectly suited to the needs of single and
multi-venue conferences and events. The unique combination of
flexible venues with technology and acoustic treatment enable
simultaneous functions and conferencing.
Accessibility
There are two disabled accessibility entrances to the conference
facilities and Town Hall, with lift access is available to all
areas and ample toilet facilities (including disabled toilets)
throughout the venue complex.
Dunedin Town Hall
The largest of the Dunedin Centre's facilities, this versatile
auditorium can be used for conferences, concerts, live
performances, balls, or social functions accommodating up to a
maximum of 2,300 people.
The venue features a built-in stage (which can be extended to
suit the client's needs) and excellent acoustics. It also has 2
soloist rooms (dressing rooms), a green room and a choral room
backstage.
Many original historical features make this a very special venue
- such as the impressive barrel-vaulted, coffered ceiling in the
ground floor foyer, and 'Norma' our symphonic organ built in
1919.
