At Dunedin Venues, we are committed to providing a safe environment for all guests, hirers, contractors, and exhibitors.
Health & Safety at Dunedin Venues
All fire extinguishers, hoses, alarm panels and emergency exits must remain visible and accessible at all times, and our venue staff conduct regular safety checks throughout events. If anything is identified as unsafe, the hirer will be notified immediately to rectify the issue.
All hirers, contractors, and trade exhibitors must complete a health and safety induction before commencing any work, with inductions delivered online. Prior written approval is required for activities or equipment that may introduce additional risk, including naked flames or cooking equipment, lasers, flammable or hazardous substances, welding or cutting equipment, gas, helium balloons, or any temporary structure over 1.5 metres in height. Proposals must be submitted to your Event Manager at least two weeks prior to the event start date.
A health and safety initial assessment form must be completed by the hirer and all contractors involved, with additional actions advised by our Safety & Wellness Manager if required. Exhibitors must also complete a separate health and safety assessment form, and all electrical equipment brought onsite must have a current test tag. All required forms will be provided by your Event Manager.
